Adoption Time!

Many of you know, I have had a desire to adopt FOREVER! I have always always always wanted to adopt, and the Lord gave me a husband who also wants to adopt. Well, we have officially started the process. We have sent in our application and have had our first interview with our case worker! Now it is time to do the remainder of our homework and get this ball a rolling!

This weekend will be dedicated to filling out all of that fun paperwork. Please pray for God's timing!

"A Time of Expectancy"

On Friday, a group of students, an IV volunteer and myself all gathered together to praise God for what He did this year in the chapter and to pray for next year! Here is a summary of some of the things that happened.

Praises
-There was a deep sense of community created. The accountability that was established between students helped them to grow in their faith and it was so encouraging to hear how they have grown in their own personal walk with the Lord.
-There is a commitment to prayer, students are waking up on a Saturday morning to spend some time in prayer, praying for the campus and the chapter. Throughout the week, a group of students have joined together for prayer and fasting for some personal reasons and have seen the Lord bless their time and answer their prayers.
-It looks like we will have some new and upcoming leaders next year! (Hopefully)
-We now have 4 students involved in the Kappa Delta sorority!

Points of Prayer
-We would continue to have more leaders, that are trained, skilled, and gifted.
-Ministry in the Kappa Delta sorority. We desire to see the christians step up and to be missional in their sorority and for girls to some to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.
-We currently have no men in the chapter. The men that we have will be graduating in two weeks, and we want to see freshmen men come and be a part of the group. Pray that we would have men volunteering or a male staff come and do the job of cultivating relationships with students.

Thank you faithful prayer warriors!~

Please pray as I continue to recruit for Chapter Focus Week, our annual chapter camp. Friday is the last day to register. It is a great training opportunity and a time to really focus on what the Lord wants us to do next year. Pray that students would make the decision to go!

on a financial note....

Dear Friends, Family and Partners in Ministry,

Many of you received my newsletter last week and I wanted to send out an email clarifying some details on the financial front:)

PRAISE God! At this time, I do not anticipate having a deficit when my fiscal year comes to an end June 30. Praise God that there will be no debt!

I was asking many of you to pray, fast and to give. This was intended for the following year's budget, starting July 1, 2009. My goal and heart's desire is to be working full time on Albion's campus AND to be getting paid for it:) At this point, my salary does not represent a full time salary, which means I can still work full time, and not get paid for it, or I can work part time, and continue with my part time job. In order for my to cover the ministry responsibilities of being a full time staff worker, including training, travel, salary and other ministry expenses, I need to raise an extra $20,000.

The confusion came in this area.....I need to raise the extra money so I can focus all of my time and energy on campus in the fall, without having a part time job, but as of now I will be ending the fiscal year in the black.

I apologize for all of the confusion. Thank you for your prayers, your support and your commitment to the ministry.

A time for Evaluation

This time of the year is time to evaluate the ministry of the chapter, to pray and to seek the Lord and plan for next year. Please pray and we enter this season :)
